Description

Product Description

Proxitane is a water‑clear, colourless sanitising liquid containing an equilibrium mixture of hydrogen peroxide, peroxyacetic acid, water, and acetic acid. It is a powerful food‑grade sanitiser suitable for use across dairy, food, beverage, poultry, and CIP systems. Proxitane provides strong oxidising and biocidal action and can also function as a laundry bleach. Because it contains no surfactants, it is ideal for clean‑in‑place applications where a no‑rinse procedure (with adequate drainage) is permitted. In some dairy farm applications, rinsing with potable water may be required before production resumes.

Product Benefits

  • High‑performance sanitiser for food‑processing and CIP systems
  • Effective at low concentrations (100–200 mg/L peracetic acid)
  • No‑surfactant formula suited for no‑rinse CIP systems where drainage is available
  • Reduces cleaning time and water usage
  • Suitable as a laundry bleach
  • Broad‑spectrum biocidal action against bacteria, yeasts, and moulds
  • Clear, water‑like liquid for easy dosing
  • Stable mixture with strong oxidative cleaning ability

Application

  • Use according to required peracetic‑acid concentration: 100–200 mg/L depending on soil load.
  • Test peracetic‑acid concentration using appropriate test strips.
  • Suitable for use in food‑processing plants, dairies, CIP systems, beverage lines, and related equipment.
  • For dairy farms: surfaces must be drained and thoroughly rinsed before the next milking.
  • Proxitane is not rinsed in certain approved no‑rinse food‑contact applications if adequate drainage is present and procedures allow.

Safety Notes

  • Avoid contact with eyes and skin; causes severe eye damage and can cause burns with prolonged exposure.
  • Vapours may irritate nose and throat; ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Do not mix with acids, alkalis, reducing or oxidising agents, metals, rust, resins, accelerators, or combustible materials.
  • Not combustible, but decomposition can promote combustion in nearby organic materials.
