The Job:
The Chemical Sales Technician plays an important role in our development and customer longevity. It is responsible for ensuring maximum customer satisfaction, troubleshooting and resolving immediate issues, proactively addressing any potential issues and identifying areas of opportunity as it relates to the customer experience.
What You’ll Do:
Provide professional, expert solutions to all new prospects and existing customers, to enable their business to be profitable and leave their customers satisfied with a clean, shiny, drier vehicle every time they use our products
Site Preventative Care & troubleshooting:
- Titration of product as needed
- Volumetrics for product as needed
- Minor chemical equipment/application repairs
Customer Satisfaction:
- Responsible for site chemical conversions and installations, and keeping the customers informed of progress
- Monitor customer levels and responsible for Chemical Inventory and replenishment orders placed at sites under responsibility
- Maintain Wash Key Reporting – Service Report
- Conduct Castle site surveys using the template
- Support and execute on corporate accounts
- Conduct Technical and Chemistry basic training
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date computer files of customers and their issues
- Analyze customer outputs and make recommendations on technical updates or ways to increase efficiency and wash counts for the designated site.
Customer Expansion:
Identify areas of opportunity for our account, conduct an initial intake discussion and communicate to sales management
This individual is expected to comply with all applicable OHS, EPA, Local Regulatory Law, and company safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in sales or related field preferred; or equivalent practical experience.
- Vehicle Wash experience is preferred but not required
- Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Ability to communicate internally and externally across all levels of the organisation
- Good knowledge of a computer programs
- Demonstrated ability to provide the highest level of customer service and support.
- Ability to function with minimal supervision and work in a team environment. Must be a self-starter and be extremely motivated.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to support overnight travel up to 10-20% based on territory and customer needs
